This comfort food classic is easy to make and always a favourite
6 sausages
1 tbsp oil
140g plain flour
200ml semi-skimmed milk
4 large eggs
Heat the oven to 220C / 200C fan / gas 7
Put the sausages in a roasting tin and drizzle over the oil. Cook in the oven for 15 minutes until the sausages are starting to get some colour
To make the batter:
Put the flour into a large mixing bowl
Add the eggs to the flour and mix with a whisk until combined and smooth
Add in the milk and beat with a whisk until combined and small bubbles form
Remove the sausages from the oven and pour in the batter carefully around the sausages
Place the roasting tin back into the oven and cook for around 30 - 35 minutes. Make sure not to open the oven until it is cooked as this will ruin the Yorkshire pudding
